How to apply the maintenance certificate?

Dear All,

      Step by step to download and install maintenance certificate?

1)Is there any prerequisites needed for this?

2)Downtime or restart is required for this?

3)If we are not maintaining the certificate, is there any issues?

Mantainance certificate is just an add-on license you must apply via SLICENSE

1.) Simply request the maintaince certificate license via SAP Marketplace

2.) No

3.) You wont be able to use SPAM/SAINT to apply patches. Other than that no.
