Hi Experts,
we have a sender file adapter which was working fine...
all of a sudden it did not pick up the file, only after I restarted the CC the file was processed. The RWB showed the CC as functioning, but no activity was logged since many days. ..
this kind of issues occur commonly but just wanted to know the root cause of it.
Any idea what was going on?
thanks

but files were not polled..

Hi,
U can use timeout parameter in the file sender channel to avoid this situation in the near future:

don't know the exact reason for this. but i have observed this issue in some receiver jdbc comm channels not sending data to target db and there the issue was that the comm channel's connection to db got stale and the comm channel was not able to form any new connection as max connections were reached and reuse existing connections did not worked as the existing connections got stale.
so the similar type of comm channel's connection becoming stale may have happened in your file comm channel too. Then when you restarted the comm channel, the connections were refreshed and then the files would have been picked. So something like this would have happened in the j2ee threads of the AE in your XI system.
Hi,
Please check the notes:-
