JVM Update

Hi Friends,

Can you please help us, how to update the JVM.

present java version in the system..

java version "1.4.2"

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 2.3)

IBM J9 VM (build 2.3, J2RE 1.4.2 IBM J9 2.3 AIX ppc64-64 j9ap64142-20080125 (JIT enabled)

J9VM - 20080123_16536_BHdSMr

JIT  - 20071026_1846_r8

GC   - 200710_29)

we have raised OSS case , they have suggested a note 718901, i could not able to go through this note.

Can you please help me, how to update the new version of JVM.

Hi Balaram,

Please check the following SAP Note to change the JDK version.

718901       How to Change the JDK of the J2EE Engine

Also, check the following SAP Notes for your reference -

not sure about your problem?

You can get the software from IBM, or you can download SAPJVM 4 and the switchtool from SAP.
