Criteria to have a shell creation

TDMS Experts:

We have a sender and a receiver and both are BW w/  the same version/patch.

Is there a reprort to run on the receiver to tell if a shell creation is needed for the receiver before a TDMS time-slice copy?

If you are on TDMS 4.0, then you may go to 'Analysis and Reports' on the main TDMS 4.0 screen and within that section there exists a report to compare repository on sender and receiver.

If you are on the same SAP_ABA and SAP_BASIS patch levels in both sender and receiver and you sure that the custom objects are also same then there is no need for Shell creation for TDMS.

However the problem is that

1) we are at TDMS3.0;

2) we are NOT sure if all customer objects are the same OR not.

Any easy way to tell the necessity of a shell creation?

Or any way to tell a BW client copy would be enough instead of a lengthy shell creation?

TDMS 4.0 is available now and you may upgrade to the same.
