Dear SAP Gurus

Finally i started with SAPinst and during the DATABASE CREATION PHASE  my installation got struck with below error

I checked some SDN links and SAP notes which suggests that thsi paremeter is available for Oracle 11g

Hello

I made a miskte while giving SAPINST input thats why we were getting this issue.

During Database input parameters by Default SAPINST will show DB version as 112 i.e 11G

their we have to select 102 i.e 10G using drop down.

hi Basis,

You are getting issue during SQL startup and some parameters are also not correct in initSID.ora.

try to start with pfile.

SQL>startup <Path\Init<sid>.ora>

if you still get issue then use the ORADIM utility to recreate it.

Thaks John for your update !!!

Swap size is already 22GB  for our system and The SAP note you mentioend is definately for 10g.

But in our case SAPInst created initsid.ora file along with some parametrs for 11g.

I have raised issue to SAP.And they also confirmed that it is Pointing to 11g.

I am still waiting for the exact soluton from them.Once i will come to know i will upadte it here.
