Error in starting AS-JAVA instance

Hi,

I have done a new install of AS-JAVA in windows X64 with DB2 9.7

The Server was running fine after installation.

I started the support package update, and during the upgrade, the jcontrol failed to start

I see the following error in the last lines of the server0.log. Pls assist

As per note 784568 , changed the fullyMaterializeLobData value to false in Configtool--> Cluster. Issue resolved

Hi,

I have already looked into this note. But i wanted to understand the reason for this parameter change.

The system was running fine after the installation. The issue occured only after i started to install the Support packages.

Hello Balaji,

Since it's a startup issue, I would suggest you to review bootstrap* and std_disp* and std_server* logs under work directory.

If you are updating the patches through JSPM then close it and open SDM.

let us know that what is the error you are getting when you open SDM.
