NWBC error

Former Member

Hi,

Currently we are working with NWBC (Netweaver business client) for PPM 5.0. Sometimes, when trying to use some services, an unexpected error arises (please see document attached):

====================

com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.WebDynpro::WebDynpro/TopLayer

====================

MandatoryParameters

====================

DefinitionType:ABAP

System:SAP_RPM

Application Name:

Client:Automatic Detection

Optional Parameters

===================

WebDynproNamespace

Application Parameters:

DynamicParameter:

DebugMode: No

===================

We try on Internet explorer, but it works perfectly. For this reason, we believe that the problem is with the NWBC.

Do you know any solution for this problem?

Thanks,

CAMILO URIBE

Hi Camilo,

Please check which version of NWBC you are using?

See the compatibility of the NWBC and Backend (SAP_Basis)

NWBC 3.5 --> SAP Netweaver 7.03 SP00 (Note: 1559188)

NWBC 3.0 --> SAP Netweaver 7.00 SP21 / 7.01 SP 06 / 7.02 SP 03 (Note: 1353538)

Hope this will help you.

Hi Yateen,

Currently, we have NWBC 3.0 and SAP Netweaver 7.02 SP 09. Adicionally, we are using portal to access PPM (7.02 SP 3).

I dont now if we need something else to make NWBC works well.

Thanks for your help,

Hi Camilo,

Ok. Can you check whether you have maintain the "Whitelist" in the registry.

If not, then maintain it and then restart your PC and then check.

Hi Yateen,

Could you explain me a little more about "Whitelist".

I do not know about that. How does it work and how can i implement it?

Thanks for your help,

Hi Camilo,

I think you are on NWBC 3.0 where you need to maintain the "WhiteList" in the registry. see the steps below:-

1) Go to START --> RUN --> regedit

2) Follow the path, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE --> Software --> SAP --> NWBC --> Settings

3) Create WhiteList under settings (if it is not created) and then under WhiteList create SID name. Note that this SID Name should match with the Name in the Connections (i.e. Open NWBC 3.0, Go to Option --> Got to Tab "Connections" and then check this "Name" Field)

4) For this SID Name, create the "Value" in the right hand-side and enter the data as "*://*:*/*"

Hope this will help if this setting is not done.
