Hello friends,
I have a strange issue. Every time when I start SOLMAN_SETUP,
the following screen appears:
When I choose YES - no activation is happening.
It just opens an empty browser with adress : http://myhost:8000/sap/public/myssocntl?sap-client=100
This web service is activated and running. When I test it it opens the same empty page - it is said
that it is setting a browser cookie !?
I have other web services that are up and running - for example SOLMAN_EWA_ADMIN is working fine.
sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/dswp_dtm_maintain_popup_appl is also UP, but after logon gives some strange error.
Regards
Thanks Naor,
I will investigate further. As a workaround I access solman_setup through /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_sise_main_app directly. Sometimes it gives OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED short dumps but it works for now....

Just checked with notes 834832 and 529793 - everything seems OK with them....

Hi ILIAN,
Did you maintain the FQDN for the solman server? If not then please do the same in /etc/hosts file on OS level. The layout should be like below,
<IP Address> <hostname> <hostname.comp name.com>
Also maintain the entry in your local windows machine's hosts file, from where you are executing the solman_setup.
Thanks
Abhi
Yes I already did that. Both in the profile parametersh and on both machines - my machine, and the server. The resolve is OK with FQDN. As I said before, the other web services which I use work just fine..... It is very strange.
I will try with kernel upgrade first when I am allowed to do so....

HI
try to check this link
Web Dynpro Java Application Fails to Start

I checked and applied note 1411565.
But it all wd_sise services are UP and I tested them - OK!
May be I missed something in SPRO.

ILIAN
P.S. I also made SPRO - HTTP Services - Activate solution manager services
Executed - SM_BASIC_SETTINGS_2
Now the screen with Yes/No/Cancel does not appear. But still - the same blank browser...

Hi
Can you check in ta SICF, if services are active, according to note 834832 and check note 529793
for IE Settings and see if this helps.
Kind regards,
Roland

Dear Ilian,
can you try to activate the service wd_sise_main_app with transaction SICF?
Simply select for the service name wd_sise_main_app and activate the service (Context menu)

Andreas
