Posting change Notice and immediate TO creation and confirmation .

Hi ,

What is the exact purpose of PCN creation ? We have PCN creation after every movement of material into quality and release .. What is the best way to bring the WM stock out of Q status . Do we have to manually create TO out of every PCN and confirm it . This would be a very long tedious process .

Is there a possibility of autocreation of TO/ closure of PCN without the users having to create TOs out of it .

What would be the effect of keeping open PCNs . We some times see the users keep open PCNs for several months .

Kindly suggest the config and master settings for auto creation of TO and auto confirmation .

Hi,

You can also use LQ02 and mention Stock Category accordingly. This will help you in posting in WM and IM at once. The only backdrop is it will consider the whole quant and to overcome this, move the required stock to other bin and use this t.code.

Hi,

  The flow in this case goes like 902 Q > 922 Q > 922 > 902.

  & mvt type used in this case is 321. You can maintain relevant settings in WM mvt type i.e. Background processing , Propose Confirmation etc. & also maintain the setting for Auto TO creation in IM-WM interfaces against mvt type 321.

  Check with the Business that they really need to have PCN when stock is released from quality to Unrestricted. Generally such best practices are followed when materials are batch managed & Inspection set up is maintained.

  If needed you can even stop creation of PCN by maintaining Blank values in Inteterfaces.

  Or you can also work with skip lot procedure.
