Text Field Mandatory

Hello Experts,

My client is asking me to set the text field in the customer master as mandatory.As per my knowledge it text field contains the structure and does not have any table where i can assign to my customer incomplete log.

Any workaround can you all suggest.

Hello,

I believe it would not be possible tto make Text Mandatory in Customer Master with SAP Standard settings.

You can try with Transaction Variant T-Code: SHD0 or you will have to apply a user Exit.

The relevant screen you seem to be referring to is:

Program (subscreen)  SAPMF02D

Screen number        3502

If you access the screen painter in transaction SE51 with the above parameters, click on tab "Element List" and then click on tab "Special att", you will see that field RTEXT-LTEXT has a value of "Possible" in the INPUT field. If you change this to "Required", you may get the desired behaviour. However, this would be considered a modification to the standard system.

Which field you were referring to and it is in which tab?

It has a Table name - RTEXT which is structure

Its OBD2.yes i tried but i cannot see text data to make it required.

yes, it is RTEXT structure...it would be an enhancement i guess..
