Hi

I'm installing Solution Manager 7.1 SR1 : i've completed basic configuration & system preparation.
Now i'm working on the managed system configuration.
My landscape is really simple : 1 dual stack solution manager 7.1 and 1 single stack system at a customer that i'd like to monitor.
When selecting managed system configuration i have in the overview of technical system software i have two technical system :

- status Green MySID / systemtype : Application Server ABAP, / diagnostics relevant checked / product of the technical system : SAP solution manager 7.1  / assigned product system of the technical system : MySID

- status Red ( Technical system mySID00001~JAVA is not part of any product system ) // extSID mySID00001 / system type : application server java / diagnostic relevant : checked / products of thhe technical system : SAP EHP2 for SAP NETWEAVER 7.0

Is my configuration already wrong ?

How can i make de mysid00001~JAVA part of solman product system ?

Thanx

Hi,

your standalone Java is for ep portal? or what is the product system.

is it another solution manager system?

please check and follow the steps http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm71_sp01/helpdata/en/84/24f94a1ae44a14b83529f5890a6ff5/content.htmhttp://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm71_sp01/helpdata/en/84/24f94a1ae44a14b83529f5890a6ff5/content.htm

Sorry i'm a little lost with the landscape setting.
I set up 1 single solution manager system ( so i assume dual stack abap + java ). It's the only sap system in my landscape. On smsy, in landscape component i have :

Server
               myserver

Databases
               thedatabasecreatedduringinstallation ( with TMS/RFC datasource )
another database with similars settings ( with LMDB datasource )

Product system
               SAP SOLUTION MANAGER
                         MySID
                                        Solution manager ABAP Stack
                                        Solution manager JAVA Stack

Technical systems
                        JAVA
                                   MySID          Description: INITIAL_SETUP
                                   MySID00001

The MySID00001 differs from Mysid : in MySID00001 the installation number isn't set whereas its correct on MySID.
But in MySID there is not dispatcher nor Port Number defined.

And when trying to change the product system ( java or abap stack ) i have a message : "System not in LMDB : The selected system is not in the Landscape Management  Database ( LMDB ). Migrate the system if possible. For further information about migration see the LMDB documentation".

Can you provide me guidelines about how to configure the system ?

Hello again!

I finally managed to solve this problem, doing the following steps:

1) Transaction SOLMAN_SETUP

2) Select "Managed System Configuration"

3) Select Technical System with System Type "Application Server Java"

4) Click button "System Operations" and select option "Maintain System"

5) In "Technical System Editor", select option 2 "Maintain Assigned Software"

6) In tab "Product Instances", click button "Add"

7) In field "Search Term", type "solution manager java"

😎 Select product "SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.1: Solution Manager JAVA Stack"

9) Click button "Add", and then button "Close"

10) Click button "Save"

That's what I did, and then, the next time I entered "Technical System > Configure System > Edit", I received the message "Product and product system assigned for system <SID>00001~JAVA", and the status sign at the step "1 - Select Product" turned from red to green.

Many thanks for who tried to help us!
