New Fields for Pricing

Dear Gurus,

I am new in SAP SD.

I want to use field Industry Code 1 (BRAN1) for pricing.

Is it possible to be done?

Hi,

I checked this field and realised that it is actually a table and not a field. This table was changed in Oct 2011 by SAP.

I also dont see this field anywhere in SO item or header.

Can you please let us know where you are seeing this field in SAP either at header or at item ( most probably true here)

If we know the correct field and the place it appears in SO, then we can suggest the standard procedure for this.

I see a field called Industry in field catalog, but the field is BRSCH not BRAN1

Actually, I don't see this field anywhere in SO.

We can see this field in master customer.

Hi

I see this in customer master (not in material master) too. But because this field is not available in SO, you cannot even use this for pricing. It is because, this field will not be available in the pricing communication structure. So, you cannot use this field. You should use some other field like customer classification for pricing.

Hello Budi,

Industry Field is in Custoemr Master General Data & it is only for Reporting / Evaluation purposes. It is not available for Pricing.

Thus you cannot use it in Pricing Condition Tables.

Instead I would advise you to use Fields like Customer Group, Material Pricing Group, Price Group or Price List for Price Determination. These Fields are availalbe in sales order - Sales B screen.

Could you teach me how to create field catalog for Industry Code 1 (BRAN1)?

Filed catlg Industry is available, you can make use of it for your pricing if it is suits your requirement or you have to create new filed catlg.
