Hi All,
In the current scenario, SAP scripts are converted into a raw data input (RDI) file which is then converted to a jetform (JF). This jetform is uploaded into a Central Output Server and the document is printed.
We want to upgrade from 4.7 to ECC 6.0. Also, we need to migrate the SAPscripts to Adobe forms.
1) Is using the Central Output server with ECC 6.0 a good option? If not, what is the best solution?
2) Is there any disadvantage of migrating SAPscript -> Smartform -> Adobe forms. Will there be layout changes or extra effort by migrating this?
Your help is appreciated.
Thanks,
SK
HI
Converting the SAP Script to Smartform and then to Adobe form is a bit hefty process.... Instead it will be easy and less time consuming if you can create a new Adobe form for the same.. There will be many advantages of creating the adobe forms then getting them created from SAP Scripts.

Hi,
I would like to give some inputs on your 2nd Point.
There is lot of rework involved in Migrating SAP Script to Adobe Forms and even SAP also not recommending the process.
You will find lot of Standard Adobe forms in ECC 6.0 in all most all Functional Areas.Identify the equivalent Adobe form for your SAP Script form and use it.
Thanks.
