SAP MII transaction getting hanged due to FTP

Hi All,

I have file I/O operation using a FTP over the network.

But every other week I have problems like scheduled transactions going into continuous running mode without termination

I am using SAP MII 12.2 and suspect it is because the FTP is not able to terminate the connection in case of any network disruptions.

Any expert advice on this ?

Hi Arun,

Can you verify that the network is being disrupted or is that a suspicion?  I would suggest that opening a ticket might be a good idea.

Mike,

The first time I saw the issue was when there was a power outage in the plant. The FTP is maintained in the plant and I can see the connections to FTP are not terminated and the MII server creates a new process in the next poll.Will SFTP be a solution to this ?
