Hi Siva,

To archive, the below programs must be run:

1)RQRQAB00  - set archiving flag

2)RQRQAB10  - write archive

3)RQRQAB20  - archive log

4)RQRQLB00  - delete

Check the deletion periods specified in the following pathway:

IMG:

SPRO

  -> Quality Management

   -> Environment

    -> Central Functions

     -> Organize Archiving.

The inspection lots can only be deleted from database after the durations defined here.

Hope it helps.

Hi

If you don't wont to display the cancelled lots before deleting. Then you have to do the following

1. Go to BS42. Make a new status profile for inspection lot status filtering.

2. Click on status selection schema --> selection condition

3. In first st. prof column, put QMLCTA, corresponding status field put LTCA. tick the check box "NOT" and save

In QA32, assign this status profile QMLCTA. LTCA lots will be filtered off.

Since archiving is usually done only once in awhile, sometimes only once a year, you can have a lot of cancelled lots continue to show up on the work list.

What is usually recommended is that you create a status profile that prevents the cancelled lots from showing up in QA32.  Once you create the status profile in config, you can then create a system variant for QA32/33 that uses that status profile and then users will not see any cancelled lots.

FF,

i have one doubt what is the difference between long term char & short term char in qa32

Hi Siva,

Long Term Characteristics Indicator is marked in the Control Indicators Tab of an MIC.(QS21 txn code)

If you have maintained a characterictics as Long term inspection then you can do the result recording even after the UD has been taken for the inspection lot, but the same is not possible for the  Short term inspection characteristics.

In normal circumstances, i.e. Short Term Inspection, system won't allow us to do RR once UD is given.

Hi Siva

To get LT MIC in RR screen follow steps below:

1. First go to QE51N. Here in Initial screen, go to Inspection Lot number tab.

- Select 1 All characteristics in Char. Filter.

- Set With long-term inspection.

- Execute

2. Observe whether you are getting LT MIC in RR screen thru this step.

If still you dont get LT in RR screen try change the MIC to Optional characteristics and then give a try.

Don't keep any MIC as "Required" Characteristic. i.e. select the "Optional Char." radio button in place of "Required Char." in the control indicator.

Dear Hari,

is it required for LTC , we first do the UD then RR because if i am using this step system status is LTIN STIC SPCO STUP ,now i am able to do the RR & change in RR Resuls too.

if i am doing RR first then UD system status is

UD   Usage decision has been

PASG Plan/specification assig

CCTD Insp. characteristics cr

CALC Sample calculated

RREC Results confirmed

STIC Short-term insp. complet

ICCO All inspections complete

SPRQ Quantity posting require

SPCO Stock posting completed

STUP Statistics updated

even though i have maintained long term characteristics in MICs.

Hi,

It is not like that. You can do UD even after RR.

If the status is ICCO All inspections complete- ICCO indicates - The inspection for both short-term and long-term characteristics has ended for this inspection lot.

After during the RR dont Force close the MIC for Long term. Then LT will be open and your status will be LTIN Long-term inspection.

So that you can perform RR for the next time also.

Regards

Hari
