CC4.0 to AC 10.0

We currently are running Virsa CC 4.0 on our ERP ECC 6.0 system.  We are allowed to migrate our CC 4.0 to AC 10.0 for just the ARA portion of AC under our licensing.  In looking at the documentation is the AC10.0 required to be on its own system or can it be installed on our existing system like we have our current CC 4.0.

Thank you,

Mary

Hi Mary,

you can install it on the same system AFAIK.

Even though you can migrate your existing rule set to 10.0 I would advise to start re-evaluating your risk definition at this point, as some concepts have slightly changed, and the AC10 rule set incorporates so many revisions and updates that it would be foolish to ignore that and continue on your 4.0 rule set.

Kind regards,

Frank.

Hi Mary,

Yes, you can install on the existing ABAP system with prerequisite ( 7.02 SP06 or higher)

It is recommended to have a separate system for GRC.

You might want to review some points before deciding:

  •      An Add-on installed can not be reverted back.
  •      SAPS consumed by GRC 10.0 is more than CC 4.0. Thus it might be a burden on the production system.
  •       You might want to resize the system if you want to use the existing system.
  •      In the future if you want to extend the use of GRC, it might be a little difficult.

All the best !!

Thank you both Ajesh and Frank for the information.  I am in the planning stage at the moment and this information is very helpful.
