LMDB Synchronization Job stuck

Dear Experts,

We have recently upgraded our solution manager system from 7.0EHP1 to 7.1. In the System_Preparation activity under LMDB phase, we triggered the SLD to LMDB synchro Connection. The progress of this synchronization is stuck on 90% now. When checked under SLG1 tcode --> AI_LMDB object we see the below error

The lock on the instance 'LDB:0000000001' in client '' of the area 'CL_LMDB_MODEL_SHM_AREA' cannot be set because no active version exists. However, the area constructor was started to automatically b

Message no. BL001

After following note Note 1669645 - No progress during incremental LMDB synchronization the below error also showed up

Running sync job exists for namespace active but no related lock found

Message no. LMDB_CS_ERROR052

Has anyone faced this kind of error. The respective background job and the related work process is running.

Followed the below notes but no help.

Can we 'Deactivate' and re-trigger the synchro using 'Activate' button?

Please provide some troubleshooting pointers.

hi,

error saying Running sync job exists for namespace active but no related lock found seems already the batch job for LMDB sync is active, try to kill the job and run again,

Thank You for your reply

I killed the job and process started with a new job, but now the the synchro seems to have stuck at 68%. No errors reported though in SLG1 tcode.

What could be the issue.

Hi Prahsant,

I would advise you to stop the job completely.

In SETUP LMDB -> deactivate -> Delete -> and Configure Object Server again.

Once done, let the sync begin and try to monitor the progress in SM37.

See how it goes,

Firstly ensure that you implemented the central note according with your SP level

Hi All,

Just wanted to give a small update. The Progress of the Job is still stuck at 68% but a green traffic flag can be seen on 'Set up LMDB' tab.

Hi,

if you are running LMDB for the first time, it takes time. Are you able to get the action log, anything reported strange.

if not, please wait till it get completes.

Dears

If you are running on Oracle make sure to keep the table statistics up to date:

Note 1555955 - SAP Solution Manager 7.1 - Performance Checks for LMDB

This can significantly speed up the content sync.

Thanks Tom, this did it for me when my job was stuck on 9%. After a full statistics update it went up to 13% now within 10 minutes.

Have you update your CIM and CR_Content to the supported level?
