Process did not report an instance -> no log

Hi All,

When running DTP in process chain am getting the following error after the upgardatuion to BW7.3

An exception occurred

Operation could not be carried out for

Process did not report an instance -> no log

Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE

i have check the respective transformations/DTPs, all the active. Please suggest what need to be done, are there any OSS Notes need to apply?

It is set to Meta Chain or API but still does not work got failed after descheduling and rescheduling.

Hello DeviPrasad,

Was the issue mentioned by you is resolved?

I am experiencing the same error where I have tried removing the chain from schedule, activating an reschedulingg  it back but it does not help.

I suggest you to deschedule the process chain and activate and schedule it again.

Is it that you are using one process chain as part of another? Please check if the 'child' process chain is set as "Start using Meta Chain or API", or if it is in "Direct schedule" mode then it should have "Immediate field" selected. Only then the meta chain will be able to call and schedule/trigger this process chain.

Also please check SAP Note 1068827 - Archiving: RSPC 57 "Process did not report an instance"
