Good afternoon - We are looking for guidance or best-practices in regards to creating logical components in SolMan. We currently have created a logical component for ERP (Z_ERP), BW (Z_BW), and CRM (Z_CRM). Each time we upgrade to a new Enhancement Pack or version, we go into the logical component and change the version on the logical component so it matches the version we are really running. Is this the proper procedure to follow?
Any assistance would be appreciated!
Regards,
Blair Towe

hi
it depends on upgrade you do, either ot the way you can clean up the inconsistent logical component.
read the below http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sm71_sp01/helpdata/en/99/3571d70a684f479a90ee8f92bbde24/frameset.htm

Hi Blair,
You dont need to change the version in logical component. ERP EHP* should fall under ECC6, CRM EHP* should fall under CRM 7 and etc. FYI, EHP is like an add-on to the business suite. You just need to maintain the product version by append your correct EHP version in SMSY.
Hope it helps,
Cheers,
