use sap system during the CUA downtime

Hi Expert,

I' m going to perform the systems copy of my CUA system. In my landscape all the systems (30 sap systems) are managed by CUA. I checked in sap documentation that is possible to temporary deactivate the cua for a child system but what I'd know is :

Is it possible to use a child system when the CUA system is down and the deactivation off the CUA in the child system has not been done before the CUA is gone down?

This should be useful in order to avoid to do the CUA deactivation and reactivation in all the systems.

Are the any specific activities to take in to account when you perform a system copy of the CUA system?

Thank you in advance for collaboration.

Regards

Hello,

You can still manage your system wether th CUA is there or not.

You 'll have to take it out of the CUA.

If tou forgot to do it beforehand, you can still move out the satellite system from CUA management. It is done trhough report RSDELCUA.

Have a look at how the report is to be used.

About the specific activities around the CUA master system copy, i would take particular care of the ALE/RFC related post activities and I would remove the CUA ALE model from theinstance after the system copy.

Hope this helps,

Steve.
