Hi,
I need to know the following :
Whether the BW 3.1 640 NUC 32 bit system can be system copied to 64 bit OS.
The details of the current and Target Environment are given below.
Note: The above will be a temporary arrangement, and the same will be converted to unicode,
upgraded to 7.3 and also migrated to 2008 64 bit later
Kindly advice.
Thanks & Regards
Raghunahth L

Hi,
you must make a homogenous system copy for which the target system is installed on a 64-bit operating system. A system copy of Windows 32-bit to Windows 64-bit using the same database platform is referred to as a homogenous system copy.
There are two different procedures for making homogenous system copies:
The procedure you should use depends on such determining factors as the hardware, database size and runtime.

Hi,
DB restore is just restoring your data. It is no way impacted with OS.
I guess you can restore it.
