Migration of Universes from BO 6.5 to BO 4

My manager asked me to migrate 4 universes from BO 6.5 to BO 4, she told me to first migrate them to BO 3.1 and then to BO 4. I need a work flow on how should I proceed with this task? Any documents (official or unofficial) would be helpful for me because I have never migrated any universes before. If there are any certain steps that I need to be careful about that would be helpful as well.

I have to start this task on coming Saturday and how much time would it take could you also give me an estimate on that as well, if possible.

Hello Vidya,

We cannot  upgrade from Business Objects 6.5 to BI4.0 directly  for that we need upgrade  to XI3.1 from 6.5 and then from XIR3.1 to BI4.0
you need to use importwizard tool to move the data from 6.5 to XIr3.1 and then using upgrade management tool in BI4.0 we can  migrate the  XIR3.1 data  to BI4.0
