CUTBACK Error

Hi All

Iam facing one problem can you help me

In one client Index Based currency activated. In JVA document system updating both INR currency Value and USD currency values.  For difference in foreign exchange line item there is no value in INR currency but in USD currency there is value.

Since there is no INR since system not asking for cost object for Difference in foreign exchange line item system not capturing cost object in JVA document.  As a result at the time of CUTBACK system asking for cost object.

Is this system error or any configuration needs to be done

Hi Chandrakanth,

The reason for not system being asked for cost center is that FX gain/loss difference accounts are not FI shadow accounts created only in FI not in CO as cost elements, and while posting FX loss/gain difference it posted with out cost object., at the month end JV Function RXD for realized is run to transfer the amount from FX gain/loss accounts shadow accounts to Transfer cost elements  accounts which are cost elements,  this process identifies the cost object from original documnts for each line item. After which you will run the cut back.

Hello Chandrakanth,

To resolve the error in cutback you can maintain substitue cost object in Venture master which can be used when cutback encounters documents lines with NO cost object.
