Empty white pages after NW 71 SPS4 upgrade accessing SLD or NWA

Dears,

we ended successfully the upgrade of our Solution Manager to 71 SPS4.

After the upgrade we discovered the urls:

http://saphost.mydomain:50000/sld

http://saphost.mydomain:50000/nwa

returns a completely white page.

The nwa page require the user-id/psw, then it seems to process the credentials, the page seems to be loaded into the browser, but at the end a completely white , empty page come out. No title bars, no images or whatever should normally present.

We tested the links present on the  http://saphost.mydomain:50000/   netweaver homepage (it works) and we found  working the:

  System Information

  UDDI client

  Webservice Navigator

while

User Management

Netweaver Administration

show the white, empty page.

The Webdympro tools show the next page with "Content Administrato"r and "Web dympro COnsole" , but then both of them show and empty white page.

The std_server0.out show the server is running properly , whitout memory error or other, and the sld service is started.

The kernel in use is 720_REL, pl 201.

The Abap Instance of the SOlution Manager is up and running whitout errors.

What the reason of these empty white pages into the internet browser trying to access to the services of the Java Instance ?

We also experience an empty page when starting sm_workcenter.

The status of the return ist 200 ok.

It is the same with SLD.

This happens, if the user is not already logged in in java stack.

If I try the system information page, I get a login screen.

After successful login the other pages work also.

I noticed another thing :

while trying to access the transactions :

SM_WORKCENTER

SOLMAN_SETUP

the logon is not possible; the sessions hangs whitout  times appear a into the browser internet a popup with errors durin the execution of Script like this:

http://saphost.mydomain:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ags_workcenter?NO_HEADER=X&sap-language=EN&sap-wd-...

Are these errors related with the previous ?

Hi Roberto

You've mentioned that System Information and Webservice Navigator are working but User Management and NWA is not working.

Well, the working features you've mentioned have "BASIC" authentication configured, this means that the browser will pop-up a basic authentication window and will NOT use the JAVA engine's logon page.

This is a good clue to where the problem resides.

I would suggest the following:

1. Using the Visual Administrator make sure that the Security Configuration is with it's Default settings:

open VA ---> SID ---> Server ---> Security Provider ---> Policy configurations ---> click on ticket and make sure that the Login Modules are:

EvaluateTicketLoginModule SUFFICIENT

BasicPasswordLoginModule REQUISITE

CreateTicketLoginModule OPTIONAL

2. Check the default.trc for any errors.
