Hello SAP Experts,
There is a business requirement from my client to have more than one open inspection lot in Inspection type 13. In standard SAP system allows to create a new inspection lot only after the existing open inspection lot is completed. Do we have a possibility to overcome this restriction ?
Thanks & Best Regards,
Hemant Kumar B
Dear Hemant
"You can only create inspection lots for the production versions for which no open inspection lots
currently exist.
If an inspection lot already exists for a production version, you must first complete the current inspection lot before you can create a new one.You can select several production versions simultaneously and create individual inspection lots for each of the selected versions."
So In standard SAP , there is no functionality to create more than one lot for a material against a particular productin versions. So you can do as the other guys suggested, with the help of insepction point.

The inspection point is useful for your requirement.
And one more way in standard is possible, I think, but not tested.
Cancel old inspection lot > Create new lot > Reset old lot

As we know Inspection type 13 ,inpocess inspection lots are created for production version qty, that is whole qty & can not be created partially or multiple. There is no std way to achive same.

Hello Hemant,
Normally, for in-process inspection we use "Inspection Point" function, so that we can record all QM related activities happened at different inspection points/places in a single Inspection Lot.
No need to create more than one inspection lot. You can set 'Inspection Point' in respective inspection plan. Check & revert.
Hope this will help.
