DB13 backup error BR0233E

Hello guys,

When I excecuted by DB13 backup i have the follow error

The Full Backup with BRBACKUP was successfully

but when BR*tooles going  to backup to the follows files:

The BR*tools log says full backup was successfully (DB13-BRBACKUP-SMSAP), but above files is not backed

Root cause: SMSAP-07810: Error parsing brtools log tablespace data section.

The error indicates a problem with BACKINT. BR0231E Backup utility call failed is caused by an 'external' program outside of SAP environment. The BRTOOLS calls this utility which fails
to return successfully.

For further explanation please refer to the SAP Note: 17163  BRARCHIVE/BRBACKUP messages and codes. Please check with the backint vendor for further investigation as the external tools are not supported by SAP. You need to send the log files and also the util file to your third party vendor for further investigation.

There is nothing SAP can do in this case - NetApp has to fix the problem.

Reason: NetApp is using an unsupported access to BRBACKUP log files (parsing them). This is not part of the certifiable BACKINT interface.Please ask your NetApp partner to provide a quick soluntion.

This error is related to the backup  team who loks after the backup of data into tapes .Please get in touch with them they will be able to help you

Hi,

Media or Tape Drive is faulty.contact your backup media team and use a new scratch tape and see if that resolves the issue.
