Solved: Post installation steps of SP04 for SOLMAN 7.1 - L...

Hi all,

We've just deployed the ABAP and JAVA stacks for SP04 in a SOLMAN 7.1 that is running in Enterprise Linux 5 and Oracle 11G. ABAP installation ran fine with SAINT and JAVA deployment also went fine with SDM.

The question now is: I've got a lot of exe files to deploy, that were packaged in all the software I downloaded for SP01, such as R3trans, sapstart, tp and so on that I'm supposed to deploy somewhere, but don't know where exactly. My first guess was the exe directory of my instance, which is /usr/sap/SOL/DVEBMGS06/exe, but after that, the instance DVEBMGS06 does not start (it prompts that it cannot reach the DB). I can try in other places, but what I don't get is why there is no an automated proceeding for the deployment of these files. If there is one, I cannot find it.

Hi Raul,

You need to follow the kernel upgrade process.

Please copy the latest patch files to

/usr/sap/SOL/SYS/exe/run - This is the original kernel location.

Copy the files with permissions cp rPF

After tht login with root.. go to the same directory and run ./saproot.sh script which will set the permissions properly for brtools and saposcol

THen check disp+work -V

when you start SAP system these exe will synchronised between original kernel and /usr/sap/SOL/DV*/exe/ using the exe sapcpe....

Hi Raul,

The following error is due to uuidd version.

disp+work: /lib64/libuuid.so.1: no version information available (required by disp+work)

disp+work: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.11' not found (required by disp+work)

disp+work: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by disp+work)

Please check the following notes

Note 899581 - UUID system libraries are missing

Note 1065860 - Linux: SLES 9/10, problems with libuuid
