Hi Neha,

Not sure if something else need to be taken care of (besides backup). I'd suggest you go for the next version upgrade and try it out.

So far version 26 is going on fine for me.

Hi Neha

You mean that your studio has been updated to revision 24, if yes we may need to check whether your server and studio are on compatible level , if yes may be restarting your server will resolve your problem.

Thanks

I think Neha has done the server update to revision 24. And I am sure she would have taken care of the client version too :-).

@ Neha, as mentioned in one of my replies, revision 24 has few issues and revision 25 is more stable. Revision 26 and 27 is also available and revision 27 is more stable (as per my current understanding).

Please check if you can upgrade to revision 25 and above.

Hi Neha,

You should be able to download it from the service marketplace under Ramp up software. Unfortunately my S user id doesn't have privs to look into the components, but I had seen that with my Basis team. The Studio and the client software are one below another.

Hi Neha,

Revision 26 is in SMP and not Rev 27.

This can be downloaded from

https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/support->Software Download Center->A-Z Index->H->SAP In-Memory (SAP HANA )" SAP HANA PLATFORM EDITION" SAP HANA PLATFORM EDIT. 1.0->Comprised Software Component Version->SAP HANA DATABASE 1.00->Revision 26 for SAP HANA

Please refer to SAP Note 1692981

https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1692981

Hope this helps

Hi Neha,

Just a note, we could not upgrade to revision 26 yet. SAP asked us not to proceed with it as of now. I'd suggest you go with revision 25 on the safer side.

Hi Neha,

You can do one thing. In windows system, you can use SAPCAR Exe to extract the SAR file. And then copy the extracted files into linux machine and install.

Refer this for the usage of SAPCAR : http://scn.sap.com/thread/1882364

Hi Neha,

I can create a package in the system. The version is upgraded to 26 successfully.

I could not create a delivery unit as I get an error message as follows:

"Cannot create Delivery Unit as content vendor is not defined for this system"

Ravi

Before you create a Delivery Unit, you must maintain your vendor ID in the HANA configuration of your system.

Before maintaining your own delivery units, the vendor
property of the current system should be set in the indexserver.ini file, as value of the property content_vendor in the section [repository].
New delivery units that you create will then belong to this vendor.

Thanks Thomas for the input.

I did not pay attention to this and it is not much relevant as of now as I do not use native HANA. I am working on BW on HANA scenarios.

Thanks for the information though.

Ravi
