Hi,
We are going to implement Kanban module for one of our client,
I have knowledge in discrete manufacturing, I am new to this Kanban process,
can anybody suggest and provide steps for kanban, documents for kanban configuration and implementation steps,
Thanks in advance
Plase check the std building blocks for Kanban
http://help.sap.com/bp_bblibrary/470/html/A07_KANBANAuto_EN_KO.htm
Std config required for KANBAN are
a) Create Person Responsible for Kanban storage location (MRP controller😞
Production --> MRP--> Master Data --> Define MRP controller à New Entries (OMD0)
b) Create Kanban receiving storage location that is excluded from MRP.
Enterprise structure --> Maintain Structure--> Definition --> Materials Management --> Maintain Storage Location (OX09).
c) Create a Supply area
Production--> Kanban --> Define Supply Area -->New Entries (OM10)
d) Kanban Status seq
Production -> Kanban -> Status ->Define status sequences (OM16)
e) Define replenishmaent stratergy ( incase of inhouse replenishment strategy create the order type, order type depemdemt paramter, contraol parameter for scheduling, Confirmation parameter and then start the creating the replenishment stratergy)
Production-> Kanban ->Replenishment strategies->Define in-house production strategies (OM11)

Hi,
After you create a supply area as Sundarsean suggested,you should also use PKMC to create control cycle..then go ahead with his steps..
If your Kanban is consumed,you can manually or automatically trigger a new production /procurement for it...I suggest you to read the document first or u cann't understand the process in such a short time..
Here is an example after u make some configuration as descriped above:
1.PK05 Create a supply area
2.PKMC Create a control cycle(select in house production,produciton order)
3.PK13N set one of ur kanban from wait to empty
4.MD04 a production order generated
5.PK13N Set the Kanban status from empty to full or receive the PO into stock(the Kanban status will change from empty to full automatically)
6.MD04 PO disappear and stock increased
