I would like to know what is the Women-Owned field in Bidder data.

What that means this field ?

Hi,

I have encountered this field in PPS.

This is related to suppliers (owners). It can be local, minority status etc.

Most of the times suppliers fail to qualify in evaluation phase against established suppliers. So procurement department takes responsibility to educate these supplier of non-qualification reasons. So next time these suppliers compete in effective manner. It is even helpful for Procurement Department to promote certain section of suppliers.

In a way; Women-Owned field gives idea about supplier.

Hi Ataide,

If I am right in some countries for the vendors which are owned by 'women' some tax benefits or preferences are given. Thats why this field is used. To see whether the vendor or that particular org of the vendor is owned by 'women'

I guess its a checkbox, in the bidder tab while creating the vendors in the portal ..right.

I dont know exactly what benefits they have.

This was a requirement from NA or brazil, if i remember correctly and later this field was standardized.

May be this gives some minor info probably somebody can refine the answer further.
