Display newly added Z field on eDMS

Hi All,

We need to add a new Z field in SAP DMS which will contain the description of a document ( standard description is only 35 char long) which need to be displayed in eDMS also. Is their a way to display Z field added standard SAP DMs table in eDMS or is their a way to display the description entered in the standard text in eDMS.

hi Soumit,

You can try using Z_EASYDMS_INPUTFIELDS function modules.

Sap Note: 694878.

There is also some provision for users to give long text as well as short description with every document in DMS.

I am not aware of the details though.

use Long text instead of Zfield. that will resolve your issue of 35 charactors.
