Working hour calculation in PS

Dear All,

             Can we calculate the working hour in PS with the help of work center without using HCM .

If yes how ...? I want  to calcute the hours only for particuler project not employee wise .

HI,

Planned hours are converted to planned cost using internal acivity. for that what you need is master data to be set up by CO team (Cost Center and Activity type - rate per hour). Then set up work center and input the these values. If you are using templates for creating projects, insert the work center and activity type in standard neworks in order to default in oprative projects.

When input the planned hours in internal activity,  system will calculate the total planned cost for referenced activity. In this we do not require HCM to involve in this case.

You can very well do that. You do not need to have HCM in place for this. Follow what Virendra has suggested. Maintain an internal activity with a work center defined for this activity. For more details on how to populate hours refer SAP help.

If you want the system to calculate costs for the hours populated follow this,

In KP26 check whether a rate has been defined for the combination of activity type and cost center maintained in the work center. If its not maintained please maintain it and then try. System will calculate costs for the said activity.
