Problem Details: SAPup cannot connect after a reboot

Hi sap administrators,

After a reboot uncontroled performed without clossing the SAPUp SL

Controller SAPup cannot connect to gui.

The error is:

Unable to execute the SDT request ABAP operation check on hostname

nteverises INSTANCE 00

checks of the ABAP upgrade request ABAP have failed Error form observer

Tool connector failed.

Connection to SAPUp could not be established, see following messages.

Could not connect to host nteverises on port 4240

java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused connect

There is a file on SDT root directory called .lock... MAYBE this is the

problem..

Can you do " telnet " for the port 4241???

Yes I can . Gui is listening and connected to this port, but SAPUp.exe is not running...

FATAL ERROR: Internal error: PID 8876 does not exist

I'm rebooting the machine and let's if the error is solved...

Hi,

you can also check the version of SAPup...

UNIX: Go to <UPGRADE_DIRECTORY>/abap/bin and call './SAPup -V'.

NT: Go to <UPGRADE_DIRECTORY\abap\bin and call '.\SAPup.exe -V'.

you download the latest SAPup version for your product from the SAP Service Marketplace

"Entry by Application Group", then select "Additional Components" -> "Upgrade Tools". Then, select "SAPup" or "SAPup for Unicode" if you have a unicode system. Then select "SAPup 710". SAPup is located under the relevant operating system in the SAPUP710 <nr>.SAR archive. There are different SAPup versions (the <nr> in the archive name) for different products. The list below shows which SAPup version is required.

You can upgrade and try if the SAPup is running or not..

Hi Bhuban Goswami,

I downloaded the correct version of SAPup , but I solved the problem with the comments made thead :

The error was I commented before, the reboot corrupted the file MEMSAPup.dat.

After comment last lines SAPup starts successfully!
