MDM picking up .tmp files before the complete .tmp file is posted!

Hi Experts,

                         mine is a ERP to PI to MDM scenerio. ERP sending idocs are sent to mdm via PI using mdm adapters.What PI does is , first sends the file to mdm in a specified folder.During posting , the file is in .tmp format. Once the file is completely posted in the specified path , the .t,p file is converted to .xml file, which is picked up my mdm for syndication . However what we are experiencing now is , before the complete file is posted, and converted to .xml. MDM picks up the .tmp file , and tries to process it, resulting in structural exception .

    Experts , please sggest, whar settings needs to be done for this , and where ?

Why don't you create a temporay folder for .tmp files in order to MDM can't access it?

1)How do you are converting .tmp to .xml ?are you using any OS level commands?

2)How do you make sure that writing for file is complete before renaming to .xml?

I think 2nd step not stable in your case.
