Webi Reports based on OLAP universe do not work in ipad ( BI explorer )

Former Member

have reports based on olap data sources.

The webi reports when trying to open with ipad using BI 4.0 explorer app, it shows and gets nothing.!!

I then went through the BI 4.0 explorer admin guide which says data sources such as olap are not supported.

This admin guide was for BI 4.0 FP3 which means this would not be available in feature pack as well.

any suggestions are welcome,

Regards,

atul

I have created Webi reports on OLAP sources and published it to the iPad.

You should use the SAP BusinessObjects Mobile App (SAP BI) on iPad to view Webi reports. Note that it has to be assigned to "Mobile" or "MobileDesigned" categories on the BI Platform, plus some formatting rules have to be applied for proper viewing on the device. There is a Report Developer's guide in the Mobile Section of the help.sap.com website which explains this in detail.

The SAP BusinessObjects Explorer App for iPad displays the Information Spaces and Exploration Views configured using the Explorer application (previously known as PoleStar in XI3.1)

This is coming quite late as a response, hope you're already mobile!
