Hi Sasikanth,

These are some basic differences between Architectural View (AV) and Usage View (UV) :

No.1:

They are both kind of Master Data but UV is Dependent Company Code whereas AV is Independent Company Code.

It means that AV is a prototype/ model to create structure of your real estate instance ( Locality/ Buildings). And the UV must be specified for an instance ( Company Code).

For example:

There is a AV's structure with Site/Area ; Building ; Floor ; Room/ Aparment.

And there are 2 company have the same struture, too. So it could be said that:

Company code 1 has UV's structure with Business Entity; Building; Pooled Space; Rental Space/                                                                                                                              Rental Unit

Company code 2 has UV's structure with Business Entity; Building; Pooled Space; Rental Space/                                                                                                                              Rental Unit

No.2

As you can see example above. The object of these views is quite different:

For  Architectural Object we have : Site/Area, BU, Wing, Property, Floor, Aparment, Room/ Space

and  Usage objects are BE, BU, Property, Rental Object .

This is also the order when you creating UV Master Data.

BE -> BU/Property/Land -> Rental Object.

However, you can define your own AV :

Site/ Area -> Building ->Wing-> Floor/ Parking Space-> Room/ Aparment

or:

Site/ Area -> Building ->Floor/ Parking Space->Aparment

No.3

The use of the architectural view is optional. However, if you want to use the functions of Enhancement Package 2 (room reservation, continuous seating arrangements, move planning), you will need the architectural view.

Moreover, Functional Location could be created automatically when an object of AV is opened.

This is the point to link RE-FX to PM (Plant maintainence).

That's all what I want to tell you about these views. Hope it will help you.
