Gurus,
We have been facing a problem with maintaining the pegging relationships between planned orders while scheduling them finitely on DS board. We have tried the following options:
a. Dynamic pegging:Here we have made the pegging as dynamic and rescheduled the orders with a DS strategy where the we have maintained a setting of 'deallocation' whenever there is an error in scheduling. With this setting the pegging relationship gets violated.
b. Fixed pegging: The fixed pegging works only for those cases where the SFGs and FGs have one to one relationship. Whenever there is a one to many or many to many relationships, system violates the pegging relationships. Even after we have tried the fixed pegging heuristic SAP_PP_019. Does not work.
As a result what happens is the FG orders get scheduled before the start/completion of the SFG orders.
Is there any way to ensure that the FG orders won't get scheduled before start/completion of the SFG orders (i.e. there will be no violation of the pegging relationships?)
Thanks in advance!
Hi Snigdhodeep,
Following is a simple procedure for production planning and scheduling of FG ensuring fixed pegging relationship with PIR and SFG.
1. Change the heuristic settings for heuristic SAP_MRP_001 Product Planning (Comp.acc LLevl Code), by setting the selection Other Heuristic and either entering SAP_PP_019 in the field Heuristic or creating a new heuristic on the basis of the MRP heuristic.
2. Schedule all FG infinitely using an MRP Run as follows
01 | SAP_PP_011 (Delete Fixed Pegging Relationships) |
02 | SAP_PP_020 (Stage-Numbering Algorithm) |
03 | SAP_MRP_001 Product Planning (Comp.acc LLevl Code) |
3. Then, execute capacity planning, using the PP/DS optimization. (Steps 2 and 3 can executed once in a week)
4. Finally, a DS heuristic (say stable forward scheduling) executing daily to update the production plan.
If an order cannot be scheduled because of any limitation for example no resource capacity, it is scheduled with the status deallocated to its earliest date and has to be processed manually. However, DS heuristic's 'Handling of Deallocated Operations' settings defines how the deallocated operations are to be processed.
I hope this is useful to you.
Thanks,
Rajesh
