Unable to Start SAP ABAP instance ECC 605

Dear All,

Problem Summary : SAP ECC 6.05/NW720 /702 Installation failed at Instance Startup phase.

Oracle :11.2.0.1.0

Diagnosis

Initial Problem faced ,

ORA – 32004 :obsolete and/or deprecated parameter(s)

remote_os_authent

1)Implemented SAP Note 1622837 and 1639578 is implemented .

2)Create ops$ authentication in file system with id <SID>adm

3)now checked R3trans -d retured 0000.

4)Did not drop table SAPUSER for brtools reason

5)reset remote_os_authent

6)Now tryed to start SAP instance .It fails.

Reason .ORA-01017: invalid username/passwprd :logon denied.

7)Changed password of <SID>adm to sap using brconnect .

8)Checked R3trans -d returned 00000.

Retried starting SAP instance.,

Again stopped .

9)R3tans -d (0012).

10)check account status of <SID>adm .

Found locked.

STATUS  LOCKED(TIMED)

again UNLOCKED and retried starting SAP instance,but same .

11)Tried Soln as per Note 951167/400241 but did not change the Oracle Default profile to unlimited.

either ORA-28000 - the account <SID>adm locked or ORA-01017: invalid username/passwprd :logon denied

I am in a bad position as purplex with the error.

I have a problem in the DNS setting refering

SAP Note 525900 - GZZ > 1 possible network problems detected

and SAP  Note 124562 - Hostname resolution problems (DNS timeouts).

hi Asad,

first, you have to remove this error ORA-32004: obsolete or deprecated parameter(s) specified for RDBMS instance and you can remove this with following command.

SQL>alter system reset log_archive_start scope=spfile sid='*';

SQL>shutdown

SQL>Startup

Second, ORA-01017: invalid username/passwprd :logon denied

follow the note in sequence: 400241, 50088

third, ORA-28000

SQL> alter user SAPSR3 account unlock;

Dear All,

I sincerely seek help from all SCN colleagues to please guide me in the issue.

I am not able to startup ABAP Instance .

I am still stuck with Starting Instance phase in the installation.

The disp+work initially get connected to message server but then comes to standstill when i try to manually starting SAP using SAPMMC from <sid>adm user.

The ABAP WP gets Ended with Errors.

As i dont see any futher locking of SAP<SID> user .

change the Oracle Default profile to unlimited.

ALTER PROFILE DEFAULT LIMIT FAILED_LOGIN_ATTEMPTS UNLIMITED; as per SAP Note 951167

Dear All,

An Update:

Now I dont see any locking futher,

But found some ORA errors in the alert-<sid>.log files

like TNS-12535: TNS:operation timed out

WARNING:inbound connection timed out(ORA-3136) ->this is very frequently occuring.

and while starting/stoping lsnrctl from cmd prmpt by user <sid>adm

getting error TNS-01190:The user is not authorized to execute the requested listenter command

The sidadm need to be of the DNA group

Check this group

Also run the script for dbauser

Thn try to start the listener
