Product id search by Long description in SRM using Trex

HI All ,

            I am trying to implement Trex in SRM for Product id search by Long description in SRM. In Portal when we press F4 in Create Shopping Cart we get the following search .

Header 1

Product id

Product Description

Launguage Key

Category id

Product type

Logical System

Now when we Goto ECC we get a Long Description field but in SRM we dont have it . Now read in some thereads the same could be achieved using TREX so if any one had come across this scenario need some valuable inputs .

Hi, Maybe you could look at enhancing the structure BBP_PDS_SC_ITEM_ICU by adding in the relevant component type for long description and assigning it a search help like the field product is of type BBP_ITEM_DESC and is assigned to search help BBPH_PRODUCT, maybe also this search help would need to be enhanced or perhaps there is a more suitable one for your requirement.
