Hello Experts,

Recently we have done hardware migration and upgraded our SAP systems to ECC 6. and solman to 7.0 ehp1.

Currently in the solution manager all the configurations pointing to our old SAP systems. Hence i want to reconfigure the solman from the scratch.

Kindly suggest me how i can delete the old configuration or modify for the new systems.

Please suggest me the best way how i can proceed.

Thanks & Regards,

Veeresh K R

Hi Veeresh,

Please connect your ECC to Solman SLD. Run the SLD data collection. Once you get the latest information in SLD.

Run the landscape fetch job in the solution manager from SMSY_SETUP.

Then you can run through the soman_setup -> Managed system config.

THanks,

Jagadish.

Hello Veeresh,

See below reply in thread:

http://scn.sap.com/thread/1701887

"There is no need to delete the system and start from scratch.

All you need to do is to changed the installed product version under the Header data tab of the system to the latest product version you have installed. Once this is done and the landscape fetch is executed to fetch the component information you are good to go.

Just ensure that the olld system is removed from the old logical component before changing the product version else you might get a error message."

Thanks Jagadish...

I am able to fetch the my landscape details now.

Now i am required to configur the maintenance optimizer ,EWA reports, Change management,

Please let me know from which client i need to configure and for which client i need to create rfcs in the child system.

It will be helpful if you are able to produce some docs on this.

Thanks again

You need to configure a Production client in Solman first.. from this client you need to create RFCs to managed  system production client.

Refer to the below diagram for more details on the connections required:
