EWA Confiugratin for AS Java (EP)

Hi All,

We are planning to Configure EWA  for EP 7.0 EHP2  to Solman 7.0 EHP1(SP 8)..

As, per my understanding in order to configure EWA.. SMD agents and willy introscope server needs to be installed on Managing and managed systems..

I am bit confused with exact guide i need to follow in order to register SMD Agents..

I have started to register the Diagonistic Agents as per the note "1357812".. Can some of you please help me which diagnostic agent i need to install  for above specified releases and specify the confiugration guide to follow..

Have you executed SOLMAN_SETUP in your solution manager system? You have to perform Initial, basic configuration and finally managed system configuration (Diagnostics for managed system is configured here).

Hi,

Is their any prerequisite  for EWA in AS JAVA System (EP)..EX: ABAP (RTCCTOOL)....Before configuring SMD Agents on Managed System.. As well as in note "976054" has mentioned below..

Starting with Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 (SP18) the data sources are:

• Solution Manager BI for performance data
• Configuration and Change DB(CCDB) for configuration data

we didn't have BI System in our enviroment... Some of you please help me about this ..

Hi,

Solution Manager is usually installed with BI. However you can install BI in another system/client.

You probably have an ABAP component BI_CONT (Business Intelligence Content) in your solution manager.
