message M7041 (enter batch) when saving delivery

Hi Guru's,

When saving a delivery via VL01N or VL10B I get the error M7041:

Diagnosis

Material  is subject to management in batches in plant . However, the system was not able to determine a batch of the material via the storage location/batch selection list. A possible reason for this is that  there are not yet any batches in stock.

System Response

The system cannot post the document until you have entered a batch.

All the needed data is filled, but I want to save the delivery without filling in the batch number.

We do not have automatic batch determination set up.

Check the material master Sales:general/plant view. Here the batch management field might have been checked. If the material is not batch managed, then uncheck this box. Also make sure there is no record maintained in VCH2 for this material.

Also check whether user exit USEREXIT_BATCH_DETERMINATION in include MV50AFZZ is causing this error.

Hi,

You can uncheck the Batch Management as in attachment which would exclude any batch determination for the perticular material.

Problem solved.

apparently it was due to a change in a custom program / BAPI that caused this error.
