SAP Neteweaver Upgrade from 7.0 EHP1 to Netweaver 7.3

Hello Experts,

We are planning for SAP Netweaver Upgrade from Netweaver 7.0 for EHP1 to Netweaver 7.3. After an upgrade, we need to do BPC (Business Process Consolidation) 10.0 installation for SAP Netweaver. Does anyone have any documentation describing the steps for its installation? How much time this installation takes?

We thought its a simple add on installation. However, it is a seperate installation. We have installation or Upgrade guide for it. However, it does not define clearly how to go ahead with it.

Thanks and Regards,

Kedar Malekar

Hi,

Implementing BPC needs CPMB objects to be installed on BI Server as an addon instalaltion. You can check bpc tables starting with uj*.

Once this is completed you need a windows server preferably 64 bit enterprise here you need to install a .net server and on this server you will be installing bpc server. Users will access bpc from their excel client. If u are planning bpc data into xcelcius/crystal u need to have BO server.

U need following things

SBOP Planning & consolidation,Licnese Key (Temp),SAP CPM BPC ABAP,SAP PC  NW START. KIT IFRS,SAP BPC Client. At os level u need to download  MSXML, Microsoft IIS 6.0 or 7.0, .NET Framework version 2.0, 3.0 or 3.5, Windows Script 5.7 on each application and Web server , Microsoft Visual Basic 6 Run-Time SP5, IIS 6.0 or 7.0 , MSMQ , Dundas Chart , Farpoint , Microsoft Anti-Cross Site Scripting Library V1.5, Xceed Zip Compression Library 6.5.9417.0 or later

For exact version u can refer to https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/instguides > SAP BusinessObjects > SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) > Planning and Consolidation > 10.0, version for SAP NetWeaver

Hope this helps you
