Hi,

I am implementing QM in Warehouse company, Their scenario is such that the (Farmer, Industrial,or other goods) are receive in their warehouse for some month,at that time they do inspection for that product ,after that they want that every 15 day the lot should create for the same material till is send back to the respective person.(means that want repetitive lot for same material )But some time they want that lot should create in between also, because tha same material is inspected by some other people also(third Party) but their day r not fixed. So how is possible. And what are the steps & configuration required for this.

Hello Asif,

The first part (generation of inspection lot after every 15 days) is quite feasible. You need to activate inspection type 09-Recurring inspection in material master. You also need to maintain inspection interval in QM view of material master as 15 days. As a result of which system will calculate next inspection date. When you run QA07 or QA05 system will generate inspection lot.

Materials need to be managed strictly in batches. I don't think it would be feasible to generate inspection lot if your inspection days are not fixed. You may have to go for an exit which controls lot creation for this.

Hi Anand Rao,

If the same lot will create after 15 day then, will the batch no will change or remain the same,Because It a project in Warehouse were different types of commodity more than 1500 are coming,so if batch no will remain same then it will work out.

And for unplanned inspection is there any way other than manual inspection?

Hi Asif,

System will create different inspection lots (with every 15 days) with same batch only.

I don't think there would be any way to address unplanned inspection except manual lot. In fact manual lots are meant for such activities.

Hi you can use inspection point concept for doing the recurring inspection you can put inspection interval as 15 days. Fo the inspection which is not planned they can create an audit inspection and create the inspection lot manually to check it.

Hi if you have the logic on when these audit should happen then you can do some development to acieve this. but as you said it can happen anytime. can you share the logic on how these inspection lot should get triggered?
