import FR Lauguage in ECC 6.0 Unicode system

Hi experts,

I want to import FR Language in ECC 6.0 SR3 Unicode system.

Please guide me how can i do this.

Database--oracle 10G  RHEL 5.3

Hi Vivek

1. Define FR as language in SMLT

2. Apply FR language with SAP transaction SMLT

3. Supplement FR with English in client 000 with SAP transaction SMLT 

4. Supplement FR with support packages.

5. Change system profile to include FR in zcsa/installed_languages with transaction RZ10 new value __ ,_ ,F..

For implementing FR.

Precondition is that the language import, the supplement of language with english in client 000 and in default client, correction of installed languages startup parameter zcsa/installed_languages.

Define the new languages

Transaction SMLT in client 000

Language  Classify

Choose Save

(with language key FR)

Import language package

All are in client 000.

  Click on French or france

1.1 Language  Import Package

Path at server level

Choose Find Package(s)

Mark the package

Choose Execute

Yes

Back to main screen.

Await the Imported package change status to:

Runtime are around 20 minutes.

    End result:

  Run language supplement in client 000

  All are in client 000 for this chapter.

  Mark FRANCE

Language  Supplement Language

Yes

Enter Description:

Suppl France with English client 000

And execute

Back

Await the status change to Yellow.

Runtime 15 min.

  1.2          Run language supplement in default client

  All are in default client for this chapter.

If more clients are customer used this also needs to be done in those clients.

  Mark France.

Language  Supplement Language

Description: Suppl France with English client Defualt client

Execute

Back

Await status are changed to yellow.

This took less then 5 min.

1.3          Run supplement from support packages

  Activity after the new languages has been activated in RZ10 and the system has been restarted.

  All are in client 000.

  Mark France

Language  Special Actions  Import support packages

   Continue to next screen with (F6)

Path for CAR Archives /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in

Then go to next screen by (F6).

Client on Import Langauge Data

Do not overwrite

1.4          Activate the new languages in RZ10

  Transaction RZ10

Choose DEFAULT profile

And Extended maintenance and Change

Find zcsa/installed_languages and change value from _ _ _ to _ _ F_ _.

Choose Copy

Back

Save and activate the profile with Ctrl+S

Check if warning and errors are of concern. Normal procedure.

When checked choose back

Enter

And now we wait for the restart.

Vivek,

You need to do is scheduled change so as to avoid users who logged in. Dialog mode (wp run time)  make sure it is more than 600s

You would perform restart of instance...so what ever precaution you take for instance restart you would follow same .. such as no  batch jobs running..etc

also,

Check the file system at os level . You would import a package so this would increase space .

Hi Vivek,

Prerequisites for Language Installation

Lock all the users in the system

Run BTCTRNS1 to supsend all released jobs

Check last backup is available (Useful Incase of inconsistency during language import)

Use RSCPINST to add NLS settings for language

Make sure space is available at /usr/sap/trans
