Dear Guru,

While installing  Oracle 10g2 on SusE Linux 11(patch2)

An error occurred while processing service ORA-27125: unable to create shared memory segment Linux-x86_64 Error: 1: Operation not permitted Disconnected :

Hi,

Yes, Fidel says correct; Oracle 10g is out of phase.

By the way, have you ever check the note 839624 - ORA-27125 while starting Oracle instance? Even this note is belong to Suse 9 and Oracle 10.1, it may be work for your case, too.

Additionally, be sure that your OS patch should be equal SuSE SLES11 - Kernel 2.6.27.19-5 or greater.

Hi,

10g is "out of support", but have you checked SAP Note  839624?, just in case.
