Extractors for CTS+ - Systems ends in Error !?

Former Member

Hi,

we try to activate the extractor of our CTS+ Systems in the Extractor-Framework to use Diagnostics for CTS+.

We read the Note 1385527 and insert the Source-Destination in the details of the extractor.

But we get a error -> 'Source RFC Destination not maintained!'

Which RFC-Destination must be entered in the 'Source Destination'-Field ?

We tried the Destination of the central CTS+-System and the managed System.

Both ends in the same error.

We have J2ee-only and dual-stack-systems.

kind regards

Christoph

Dear Christoph

From the guide in attachment of SAP note 1385527:

"For double stack configurations the CTS+ communication system is the corresponding ABAP stack.

For Non-ABAP configurations the CTS+ communication system can be any Netweaver or SAP Solution Manager system"

From the best practices CTS+ implementation guide:

"When the Communication System for a non-ABAP system has to be changed after creating the system, the Transport Tool parameter COMMUNICATION_SYSTEM and the Communication System in tab Communication has be changed identically."

So you should check which SAP system is set as the "communication system" for the managed SAP system for which the extractor will run and insert the READ RFC destination of that communication system.

For dual stack systems it should be the ABAP stack of that dual stack system. So for example AA1 --> SM_AA1CLNT100_READ (or what you have as read destination)

For J2EE only it should be the Domain Controller (default) but it can also be another SAP system.

Those RFC destinations have to be available in your Solution Manager so check SMSY/LMDB or SM59 directly to make sure you have the correct syntax.

Kind regards

Tom

Hi,

just execute solman_setup from your solution manager system, make sure all initial, basic and managed system configuration should result as green,

if managed system config rfc failure, please correct t and try again

Thanks
