Fresh installation ECC 6.0 EHP4

HI All,

I need to install SAP ECC6.0 EHP4 with ABAP+JAVA stack on windows server 2003 R2 with database MSsql server .

I have read that for this ,we need to install EHP4 ready and then upgrade EHP4 through EHPI installer.

1) What is the diffrence between --EHP4 for SAP ERP6.0 and EHP4 for SAP ERP6.0 /NW7.01 in the Service market place.

2) What are the disadvantages of implementing dual stack(ABAP+Java) ,i heard in future upgrades will face problem DUAL STACK SYSTEMS.

3)What are the Prerequisites for ECC 6.0 EHP4

4)I am having difficulty to finding the media please some one helping finding the media .I am follwing the below procedure to find media but there is no specific OS and DB

Hi,

There are some disadvantage on dual-stack such as scalability and maintenance SAP clearly now recommend to setup with single stack.

Only some applications such as PI and SolMan are allowed to configured with Double Stack (Dual Stack).

Hello All,

Thanks for your replies,As per above therads and lots of notes reading i understood the below points,if any thing wrong please correct me.

1)New installations ERP 6.0 EHP4 or ERP 6.0 EHP5 we can not install Dual stack(ABAP+JAVA) systemes directly.

If we want to use both ABAP+JAVA

2)Install separte ABAP system (SID)

3)Install separate Java system(SID).

Still i am in confusion below points:

1)What is the difference between --EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0 and EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0/NW7.01 in service market place software download option.

Please provide your valuble inputs

Hi ,

EHP4 for SAP ERP 6 - Only ABAP ECC 6 upgradation to EHP4

EHP4 for SAP ERP 6.0/NW 7.01 - If you have a portal ( Java) connected to your ABAP backend ECC .. You should also upgrade that portal to NW 7.0 to NW 7.01.. Same situation for BW as well .. you should upgrade your BW system from NW 7.0 to NW 7.01

After reading above threads and lot of SAP Notes I understood the below points.

If anything wrong please correct me .

1)For new installation (ECC 6.0 EHP 4 & ECC6.0 EHP5)we can not install dual(ABAP+JAVA) stack systems.

2)If you want use both ABAP and JAVA

Need to install separte ABAP <SID>and JAVA<SID>

Procedure forFresh installation ECC 6.0 EHP4 .

1) we need install ECC 6.0 EHP4 ready and then thorugh EHPI upgrade EHP$

2)Same condition will apply EHP5 also

Software download path  ECC6.0 EHP4 Ready:

Hi All,

While downloading the erp6.0 ehp4 in downloading area its not showing the database its showing only based on SAP netweaver 7.01 or 7.3 .

Kindly please suggest any one give me an idea.

Database Cds along with NW components, you will find under SAP NETWEAVER 7.01 or 7.3..

Your mean it will be available in under zip files or BS 7 SR1 windows server on x64 bit .?

in dump area not mentioned mssql server ?

For above procedure ECC 6.0 ehp4 ready or ?

You will have to install EHP4 ready system which will have the SAP ERP components on 600 and Netweaver components on 701 release. Then you will have to install the EHP4 (using SAPEHPI tool or SAINT )  for software components you select based on the technical usgae of the system.

Thanks for your repply,Kindly calrify one thing.

While selecting the Software for fresh installation its not showing database selection crieteria ,

Path:MY company application Componnents------------------>My Company's software -------->SAP ERP-------->SAP ERP ENHANCEMENT Package---->EHP4 for SAP erp6.0 ---------->Installation------->Based on SAP netweave 7.01 or 7.3 showing database is not showing .

Can you please correct if any thing wrong in above path for fresh installation.

Is their any database dpendency in exports .

Installations and Upgrades - E" SAP ERP" SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE" EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01 --

Installation

• based on SAP NetWeaver 7.01

This is the location you need to go and download. NW 701 is required for ERP 6.0 EHP4 ABAP based system .

The export is database independent.
