Wrong / Junk characters transferred to SC from external catalog

Hi,

We are on SAP SRM 7.0 and using an external catalog for SSP.

Currently, we are facing a problem while creating SC in Chinese language. The catalog is maintained in Chinese language and all texts and descriptions are in Chinese. When we add a material from catalog to the SC, we notice that few texts like the long text from vendor catalog and the material description are coming as junk characters, instead of the Chinese text from catalog. Everything else seems fine.

Could someone please advise how to check this language problem?

Hi Saravanan

There is a standard OSS SAP Note to cater the problem related to Chinese language text . As per that note some settings need to be done where we do integration / maintenance of external catalogue with SRM .
