Hi,

We have a new sap system running on a windows machine where DB is also in the same host. Iam planning tasks in Transaction DB13. I planned "Update Statistics" task but went into errors.

((

Execute logical command BRCONNECT On host BLA3-14

Parameters: -u / -jid STATS20120326163922 -c -f stats -t ALL

SXPG_STEP_XPG_START: is_local_host: rc = 403

SXPG_STEP_XPG_START: host = BLA3-14

SXPG_STEP_XPG_START: is_local_r3_host: rc = 802

SXPG_STEP_XPG_START: RFC_TCPIP_CONNECTION_OPEN: rc = 1003

SXPG_STEP_COMMAND_START: SXPG_STEP_XPG_START returned: 1.003

SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE(LONG)

<timestamp> = 20120326163926

COMMANDNAME = BRCONNECT

ADDITIONAL_PARAMETERS = -u / -jid STATS20120326163922 -c -f stats -t ALL

LONG_PARAMS

OPERATINGSYSTEM = ANYOS

TARGETSYSTEM = BLA3-14

DESTINATION

SY-SUBRC = 1003

SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE failed for BRCONNECT - Reason: program_start_error: For More Information, See SYS

Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE

))

But host BLA13-14 is wrong, our host is VMBN0159. I deleted the RFC Connection SAPXPG_DBDEST_BLA3-14 in SM59 but the moment i plan the job in DB13, it is again created under SM59. I even edited the connection with the correct host but unfortunately not working. Where am i going wrong?

Please help.

Regards,

Mohan.

Hi Ravi,

i checked the Note but didnt help.

The parameter SAPDBHOST in sap and the the view v$instance in DB are showing the correct host. I dont know from where it is getting this wrong host name? I dont have any more ideas.

Hi,

Did you solve this problem? Please try to check table DBA_CONFIG, ID EXEHOST.

Hello Maya,

You are correct.

The table DBA_CONFIG under Transaction SE11 is showing this wrong host name for the ID EXEHOST. Now, how can i correct it?  Can i directly edit the table here??

Mohan.
